Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £35 – 38,000

Job Description: As a Mechanical Estimator at this company, you will play a vital role in their project planning and execution. You will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and materials required for various plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning project, air handling. Your expertise in estimation will be instrumental in shaping the success of their projects and the satisfaction of their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of projects in the commercial sector
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Analyse project specifications and blueprints to determine labour, material, and equipment requirements.
- Evaluate and source competitive pricing for materials and subcontractors.
- Prepare and present estimates to clients, ensuring clear and transparent communication.
- Continuously update and refine cost databases and estimate templates.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning industry is highly preferred, ideally in the Building Services Sector
- Proficient in estimating software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- A strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering quality work.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is a must
