Dtech Recruitment are currently working with a leading player within the Security and Access Control Sector focusing on providing outstanding client care and reliable engineering solutions to customers within the commercial sector. The Technical Sales Manager or Account Manager job itself, where reporting to the MD, you will manage installations from enquiry to sale (before handing over to project management), ranging from £1k-£100K+. This includes responsibility for security systems design, sales and account management. More specifically:
- Attend site surveys and collate specifications, risk assessments and floor plans to assist you with designing and quoting for security system installations
- Ensure quotations are compliant with the relevant standards and regulations in force at the time; are accurately costed according to supplier costs, and meet company brand and margin protocol
- Respond to organic, in-bound leads and conduct your own prospecting to generate new installation opportunities
- Liaise with project management, H&S & Maintenance functions to ensure smooth handovers.
- Gather, evaluate and inform on customer feedback
- Stay up to date with relevant news, trends, technology and standards within the fire, security and electrical sectors
- Create relationship-building meetings with suppliers, manufacturers and partner companies
To be successful as Technical Sales Manager or Account Manager, we are happy with either a newer sales person or a more seasoned pro with a good network.
Ideally you will be a strong communicator and have the ability to present.
Must be capable of selling and designing CCTV, Access Control and Intruder with experience of any other solutions such as fire a bonus. These are commercial solutions (not domestic or small business premises), so you will need to be capable with B2B commercial selling.
Ideally located within 30 minutes of Halesowen (South Birmingham) , near M5 junction 3 but open to any location within reason.
This could be suited to you if you have previous technical sales experience or background in an engineering role within the fire, security or electrical industries.
As Technical Sales Manager or Account Manager, you should enjoy earnings of £50K OTE with a competitive base salary of £26K-£40K DOE+ Package.
